Van Brooks and his former basketball coach Marty Hines kicked-off Safe Alternative Foundation for Education's first annual Youth AAU Basketball Tournament this past weekend. Hosted at Loyola Blakefield, the two watched as hundreds of supporters piled into the gym to watch 5th-8th grade teams battle to become the champion of their age bracket.
"This was a huge success", says Van Brooks. "It will definitely get bigger each year".
"In addition, we would like to send a special thanks to Loyola Blakefield, Team Future, all the coaches, players, officials, volunteers, and parents who supported us to help make our FIRST ANNUAL Youth AAU Basketball Tournament a success!!!
