Splash N Dash Against Violence Part 2

“SPLASH N’ DASH” BROUGHT TOGETHER A COMMUNITY TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST VIOLENCE AND RAISE FUNDS FOR BACK TO SCHOOL

Our partnership with community activists Wendell Shannon “Supreme”, a forthcoming artist, and Davon Wilson “Nova Gray”, an established poet, spoken word artist, and writer, for the second running of “Splash N’ Dash” was a success.

Having took place this past Sunday July 27 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in Franklin Square Park (1300 block of W Lexington St and Calhoun St), “Splash N’ Dash” brought together community leaders, activist, friends and families from various Baltimore City communities for a friendly "OLD SCHOOL" fun water gun battle to take a stand against violence and to raise funds for our upcoming back to school events.

This partnership with Supreme and Nova Gray afforded us the opportunity to further our mission of informing others about the importance of obtaining an education, as well as having an alternate career plan in anticipation for life's deviations. Additionally, it allowed us further one of our commitments to reducing crime and providing resources to the at-risk community we serve. Lastly, it allowed us to expand our network by joining the likes of two other like-minded community activists who both have a mission of serving and making the communities they live better.

Special thanks to D'Angelo Barksdale from "The Wire", CBS News Channel 13, as well as all the participants, and donors for making this a great event!
